The 17-92 Project
This is a case study of a 5.2 mile stretch of commercial roadway in the greater Orlando area and the forces that drive its development. This website will study confluence of highways 17 and 92 as they pass through Orlando, Winter Park, and Maitland. The southern limit of this study is Colonial Dr in the Mills50 District of Orlando and the northern edge of this study is at the Maitland Blvd overpass in Maitland.

Through a series of interviews, this site's host will investigate, examine, and learn about what causes a city to transform from car-oriented development to pedestrian-oriented development. And attempt to determine if it's even possible.
Mark Adams AIA
Mark Adams AIA is a licensed architect with over three decades of professional experience in themed entertainment and commercial development. In 2009 he founded ELEVEN18 Architecture with two partners and grew the company from a fledgling enterprise to a forty-person firm. In 2023 he and his partners negotiated the acquisition of ELEVEN18 Architecture by CPH Architecture and Engineering where he today serves as Director of the Themed Entertainment Studio.
ELEVEN18 Architecture successfully completed a number of large and small projects on 17-92 and Mark's commute has taken him along this route for several years. He has watched and worked with developers, tenants, and government officials as this stretch of road that passes through three municipalities transforms from malls and drive-thru restaurants into a fledgling version of a walkable city.
